Training is important to keep us not only up to date but also ahead of the competition.
We always strive for knowledge in our quest to be better at what we do, and training with CADPRO provides us with the tools we need.

These images illustrates one member of a family of screw conveyors and where it fits in the larger project. We produce quality products and we expect quality software & support. Partnering with CADPRO gives us both of these in one solution.

As a design / drafting / data management contracting company, we have a spectrum of clients with a diverse range of products.  This means that we are constantly needing to learn more about aspects of the software we haven't used before and CADPRO are always quick to respond with help and advice when things come unstuck.  The Autodesk products we use can be quickly customised to suit each new client allowing us to spend more time creating and less time organising.

The image shown is of a new generation pellet fire with a continuous heat output (on high setting) of around 12KW.

Improvements over previous models include; reduction in noise output, programmable timer system and enhanced safety features.

Autodesk Inventor 2008 was invaluable in meeting the short time-to-market demands of this project. Image reproduced with kind permission from ECO FLAME Ltd.

Designing a Consumer Electronics product for the Mid to High End Audio Market presents many challenges and many often conflicting requirements must be satisfied. There are acoustic, thermal, electronic, structural and material engineering decisions that have to be made and these all need to be presented to the consumer in a visually appealing package.

Using Autodesk CAD software products made the process considerably less difficult than it could have been. In fact, Autodesk CAD software made the seemingly impossible – possible, as a project of this scope is usually tackled by well funded design teams in large consumer electronics corporations.
As it is, the entire system was designed over a 2 year period, by an extremely small team and finished demonstration units built, all for a budget of NZ$40,000.

The entire product was modelled in 3D in Inventor, allowing continuous monitoring of the engineering and visual design requirements as the product evolved. AutoCAD was used in the electronics design process and during file translation for the CNC machined components. One area of major cost saving was in the reduction of the need for physical prototypes.

In fact only one physical prototype was actually needed, for the loudspeaker cabinets. This alone was impressive in that prior to this, multiple physical prototypes were often required to tune a loudspeaker design. All other mechanical components were able to be designed completely in CAD with the final assembly fitting together like a precision jigsaw puzzle.

“Inventing the future together”

At Hubbards Machinery we have for many years built farm machinery to suit the farming industry. This industry has over the years had many changes, more so in the last few years. The manual form of R &D has been build and test what the client asks for, this is very costly and time consuming. 12 months ago we purchased Inventor 11, we have converted our plans over to the new system. The time saving in R & D have huge benefits.

1. Getting the product designed, tested and correct
    before producing.

2. Keeping production costs down to minimize inflation
3. Reducing errors with top quality plans
4. Producing a product with higher design quality
5. Producing accurate stock list to minimize shrinkage

The power of the Inventor package is a huge marketing tool to our business, we have produced DVD’s of our product being assembled which we show at field days, showing stress analysis to the client we are designing a product for.

The back up service from CADPRO is everything they said it would be.
Thanks for a great product CADPRO.

Mactec Aerospace

Mactec Aerospace Takes Off with Double Year-Over-Year Growth

Using the manufacturing solution from Autodesk, Mactec Aerospace International Ltd. is keeping pace with market demands by shortening its design and manufacturing cycle.

By moving from 2D to 3D, the company has sustained its culture of innovation and creativity, while enabling engineers to increase the level of detail on designs and reduce errors that once led to delays. With Autodesk Inventor®, Autodesk® Vault, and Autodesk® Productstream™,Mactec has automated many previously manual processes and improved communication internally as well as with contractors and customers. Thanks to Autodesk, Mactec is now reusing design data aggressively - and producing some designs 78 percent faster.
