CADPRO Systems Ltd is a CAD Solution Centre offering advice, consulting services, CAD design software, CAD workstations, networking technology, data management, training, software customisation and application development all with high quality service and backup.

Company Growth


Hans Grootegoed started CADPRO Systems and in early 1996 and Eric Stride joined Hans as a business partner.

In 1996 the business grew from Associate AutoCAD Dealer to Main AutoCAD Dealer status and CADPRO Systems Ltd was elevated to the highest level of Autodesk accreditation - Autodesk Authorised Systems Centre (ASC). With offices in Auckland, Wellington and Christchurch, CADPRO Systems has become the largest ASC in New Zealand.

In 1997 Autodesk Australia Pty Ltd evaluated it's New Zealand reseller channel for it's Mechanical Design and Manufacturing Solutions product group. At the time, Autodesk's premier 3D Solid Modelling product, Mechanical Desktop and it's supporting applications matured to a point where justification for a dedicated, highly skilled business designed to focus on the flourishing MCAD market was warranted. Autodesk provided CADPRO Systems with the Mechanical Design and Manufacturing (MCAD) accreditation and to date remains the sole New Zealand Autodesk ASC (Authorised Systems Centre) with MCAD accreditation. CADPRO Systems Ltd is one of seven such businesses in Australasia, forming the largest MCAD technology group in this region.
