CSP Questions and Answers:What does CSP stand for? Customer Support Program.
What is CSP? CSP is a software maintenance and support program. It provides customers with automatic shipment of all upgrades released during the subscription term as well as product support. CSP is an annual contract with automatic renewal reminder.
What support are CSP customers entitled to? All CSP clients receive preferential telephone, fax and email support from CADPRO Systems. On-site support is covered by our Star Support Program. Please request information on the STAR Program.
What is the benefit of CSP to customers? Convenience is the main benefit to customers. It ensures that customers have the most current software functionality as soon as it is released. The annual fee eliminates the uncertainty normally associated with upgrade budgeting and enables customers to separate the upgrade implementation decision from the purchase decision.
Does buying a CSP subscription guarantee that customers will receive a new release within the term of their subscription? No. There is no explicit guarantee that Autodesk will release any upgrades during a subscription period, however CSP does guarantee that you will automatically receive all upgrades released during the term of the contract.
Will customers receive software patches and enhancements for free? Yes. These will continue to be available to all CSP customers free of charge.
Are there any special requirements for customers to join the CSP Subscription Program? There are three requirements:
- The CSP Program is a renewable contract. The contract term is one year. (If you do not purchase renewal for your CSP prior to expiration of the Term, your CSP will automatically expire. If you wish to reinstate an expired Subscription, you must purchase both the then current Release and a Subscription for that Release.)
- All seats of a network license (if applicable) must be under CSP.
- All seats owned by the company of the program being subscribed to CSP must be under CSP.
How do customers pay for CSP Subscription? Payment is made directly to CADPRO Systems, annually in advance.
Can customers buy CSP for an older version of their software? CSP can only be purchased at time of purchase of product.
What happens if I don't get CSP at the time of purchasing my new license of Software? You will receive non-preferential support and have access to service packs. If you consequently wish to obtain the latest version of software will need to purchase an upgrade.
Can customers cancel their CSP subscription? Yes. Only at the end of the first year's term. No refunds are available under any circumstances. Cancellation must be in writing 60 days prior to the term of the contract. CSP can NOT be renewed once it has been cancelled.
Can the price of CSP change in the future? Yes. CSP pricing can change at time of renewal.
