Autodesk Inventor
Autodesk Inventor products offer a comprehensive, flexible set of software for 3D mechanical design, product simulation, tooling creation and design communication. Inventor takes you beyond 3Din to Digital Prototyping by enabling you to design, visualise and simulate your products.
- Design - Integrate all design data into a single digital model.
- Visualise - Create a virtual representation of your final product before it’s built.
- Simulate - Digitally simulate your product's real‐world performance.
The Inventor suite of software products is the best choice for people interested in true "design" over just 3D modelling. With the fastest and easiest migration path to 3D, Autodesk Inventor has outsold all competitors for seven years running.
Which one is right for you?
- Inventor LT is a part-modelling and detailing tool. Ideally suited as either an introduction to Inventor or a companion to a "full" Inventor seat.
- Inventor Suite offers full part and assembly modelling tools, sheet metal, 2D detailing, rendering and animation tools. it includes a standard components library (>650,000 parts) plus steel shapes, frame design and design accelerators (shafts, gears, bolted connections etc)
- Inventor Professional is a superset of Inventor Suite, adding automated Tube & Pipe routing, Cable & Harness, Dynamic Simulation, part and assembly level finite element analysis, and Inventor Tooling (for plastic injection mold tool design)

The Autodesk Inventor product line gives designers the freedom to integrate existing 2D designs into their 3D design environment, making it easy to re-use and share both AutoCAD DWG files and 3D design data with other Autodesk manufacturing applications and their users.
With flexible product configurations for specific levels of functionality, Autodesk Inventor is the best choice for AutoCAD users in the manufacturing space.
